 SCRATCH DAYS 1 TO 4

Exercise 4. Animated names

In this exercise, we learned how to animate our own name which was very entertaining and we really had to make use of our imagination to use different commands as to make the movements, colors, disposition and sizes of the letters as creative as we could.

Exercise 5. Create a story

This exercise was one of my favourite ones as we had to create our own story and there were plenty of possibilities of which we could take advantage. We had a lot of characters to choose from and we could desing the dialogue between the characters and the different settings in which the story was going to take place. It can be very useful for teachers as they can create interactive stories for students or they can even ask them to create their own!

Exercise 6. Chaising game

This exercise was quite fun to design and to play with it later. I choose a shark and a fish as the main characters, so the shark had to chase the fish and whenever it touched the fish you gained a point. It is a very easy practice that brings about extra motivation as students are eager to design their chaising game the best they can to later enjoy themselves playing their game.

Exercise 7. InputToVariables

I found this exercise very useful not only to learn about input and variables but also to use as a tool to learn maths for instance. Children while learn some programming but with the introduction of mathematical operations they will as well review sums, multiplications, divisions so it is definitely a double-edged sword.
